Chicken and Noodles




Cast of Characters:

  • Cooked chicken - shredded

  • Reames Noodles

  • Chicken Broth

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Italian Seasoning


Directions:

  1. Cook your chicken!   I used chicken thighs, bone in and skin on, boiled to make yummy broth, then deboned.   You can use whatever kind of chicken you like, including a whole Rotisserie chicken from your local deli!  Save the liquid that you cooked the chicken in!

  2. Debone chicken.

  3. Add some more chicken broth to the yummy broth that your chicken created when you boiled it.  If using a Rotisserie chicken, just dump some chicken broth in a big ol' pot and add some water to that.   Also, add your seasonings at this point.  I use salt, pepper, and Italian Seasoning.  You'll want to taste to get it just perfect!

  4. When the chicken and broth are boiling again, add in your noodles.   I used Reames noodles, they are in the frozen section at the supermarket.   You can also use egg noodles  - I do that a lot, and the soup is amazing!  Remember though, that if you are using another kind of noodle, such as egg noodles, that they will absorb some of the broth in your pan.  

  5. Serve hot with some tasty French bread and butter!!  Or, without - its your choice!!
