Let's Talk Spaghetti!

Spaghetti is the ultimate cheap comfort food, in my opinion.  You can feed an army for under $10, and that is always a good thing!

I'm not going to bother with a picture, because spaghetti generally always looks the same.  There's noodles, sauce, and meat.   So, we'll just get right to the bones of it!

1.  Get your sauce going.  I take a big can of tomato sauce or the cheap-o plain spaghetti sauce.  Then I add in my spices!  Garlic, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, dried onion flakes, a dash of Montreal Steak Seasoning for more of a beefy flavor, especially if I'm not using meat.  Chop up some green peppers and tomatoes to throw in, if you have any on hand.  I usually add some fresh parsley in there, too. Set it on simmer, cover, and let it go 'til all of the flavors meld together and its a yummy, savory mess of flavor. Make sure you're tasting your sauce off and on, to make sure you like what's going on in that pan!

2. Crumble up your ground beef or sausage in a pan and cook til done, then drain, set aside.

3.  While your meat is cooking, get those noodles going - just cook them according to the directions on the box, and then drain.

4.  Mix the meat and the sauce together, simmer for a few more minutes.

5.  Ladle generous servings of meat sauce over noodles, and serve with some hot French Bread or Garlic Bread!
